Press Releases
for Thailand

Your announcement edited, translated into Thai, and sent to a targeted list of Thai journalists and editors. One fixed price per release. No retainer, no monthly minimum.

Every submission is read by an editor before it goes anywhere. If the story is not newsworthy, we will say so — and we may decline it.

Why a press release still matters

Two reasons, and they are not the ones agencies usually give.

It puts your claim on the record

A press release is an attributable company statement with a date on it. A journalist can quote it. A partner can forward it. An investor running diligence can cite it. A founder interview or a social post does none of that reliably — the wording moves, and it is not attributable to the company.

It also means every journalist works from the same facts: the figures, the spelling of names and job titles, and the quote your spokesperson actually approved.

It is the copy that search engines and AI systems read

Press releases get indexed, syndicated and archived. That leaves structured, attributable text about your company on third-party domains — the kind of source both search engines and AI assistants draw on when someone asks who you are and what you do.

If nothing on the record describes your company, those systems fall back on whatever else they can find.

How it works

Four steps from purchase to coverage report.

  1. Choose a plan and submit your story

Pick Debut, Standard or Prestige. Tell us what has happened, who is announcing it, and the date it can be made public. An email is enough — you do not need a finished draft.

  2. Editorial review

An editor checks whether the story is genuinely newsworthy and comes back with questions — usually about figures, timing, and who can be quoted on the record. If it will not stand up as news, we tell you at this stage rather than after the send.

TMA reserves the right to decline a submission here.

  3. Drafting and your approval

The release is finalised in English and translated into Thai. You review both language versions, and nothing is sent until you approve them.

    Revisions included: [[TBC]]

  4. Distribution, follow-up and reporting

We send to a list targeted to your sector, follow up with the desks most likely to run it, then monitor what appears. You get a coverage report with clippings and standard KPI figures.

Turnaround: 3–5 business days on all three plans.

What distribution actually means

“We email journalists” describes almost nothing. Here is the actual mechanism.

Who is behind the send

The same communications team that runs media relations for TMA’s retained clients. Releases go out from named people who deal with these desks regularly, not from a distribution platform.

That matters mainly for one reason: a known sender gets opened.

How the list is built

From TMA’s own working contacts — editors, section heads and reporters we have dealt with directly — kept current as people change jobs. It is not a purchased list and it is not scraped.

How it is targeted

Per release, by beat. A fintech funding round goes to business and technology desks; a hotel opening goes to travel and lifestyle. You are not paying to be included in an untargeted send to every outlet on file.

Reach per plan is set out in the table below.

What happens after the send

We follow up with the desks most likely to run the story, answer journalist questions, and coordinate any interview requests back to you.

We then monitor for published coverage and send a report with clippings and standard KPI figures: PR value, monthly visitors and page views per outlet.

What we do not do

We do not promise placement, and nobody credible can. Editors decide what runs. What we commit to is the editorial review, the translation, a targeted send to the number of outlets in your plan, the follow-up, and an honest report of what actually appeared — including when the answer is very little.

Editorial review applies to every plan

Buying a plan does not guarantee that your release will be distributed. Every submission is assessed for newsworthiness first, and TMA reserves the right to decline, cancel or withhold distribution of any submission that does not meet media-worthy standards. That decision sits with our editorial team. We would rather turn work down than send a Thai newsroom something it cannot use.

Who writes your release

Your release is handled by TMA’s communications team — the same people who run media relations for retained clients. Your copy is not machine-generated, and it is not passed to a freelancer who has never dealt with a Thai newsroom.

FAQs

What do I actually get for the price?+
Editorial review of your story, an English release and a Thai translation, a targeted send to the number of outlets in your plan, follow-up with the relevant desks, and a coverage report with clippings and standard KPI figures. The full line-by-line breakdown for all three plans is in the inclusions table.
Do you write the release, or do I have to supply it?+
[[ANSWER — TBC. This is the single most important thing a buyer needs to know and the page currently cannot answer it. Confirm whether drafting is included on all three plans, on some, or on none.]]
Which languages will my release be published in?+
All three plans include an English release and a Thai translation, so you receive both. Which language a given outlet publishes in depends on the outlet: Thai-language press runs the Thai version, English-language press runs the English one.
How does distribution work in Thailand?+
Once your release is approved, we build a list targeted to your sector from TMA’s own media contacts, send it from named people who deal with those desks regularly, follow up, then monitor for published coverage. There is a fuller explanation in what distribution actually means.
Which outlets are included?+
The list is built per release and depends on your sector, so there is no fixed roster. Debut targets 10 outlets and does not include Tier 1 titles. Standard and Prestige target 25–30 or more, of which 5–6 are Tier 1, depending on the sector. We can share the intended target list before the send if you ask.
Is coverage guaranteed?+
No, and be sceptical of anyone who says otherwise. Editors decide what runs. What we commit to is the editorial review, the translation, a targeted send to the number of outlets in your plan, the follow-up, and an honest report of what appeared — including when the answer is very little.
How many revisions do I get?+
[[ANSWER — TBC. Confirm the revision count for each of Debut, Standard and Prestige.]]
Can you turn my story down?+
Yes. Every submission is assessed for newsworthiness before anything is written or sent, and TMA reserves the right to decline, cancel or withhold distribution of a submission that does not meet media-worthy standards. That protects the media relationships the service depends on. If your story is borderline we will usually tell you what would make it work.
Is there a word limit?+
Most Thai outlets accept releases of roughly 500–800 words. Longer releases tend to get cut by the desk rather than trimmed carefully, so we will usually recommend editing down to that range.
How do I pay?+
Not online, yet. Select a plan and we will follow up to arrange invoicing and confirm the brief. Prices exclude VAT, which is charged at 7%.
